Constitution-Making Processes

Having described the overall transition process in the three countries, we can now look in more detail at the constitution-making processes. As I have already indicated, our interest is in identifying how (if at all) the type of constitution-making body, the way in which that body was selected, the style of deliberation and the mode of representation (see Table 5.1) may have influenced the outcome of the process in terms of the legitimacy and durability of the constitution and, in turn, the democratization process.
